Takecia Jameson Advances at IAAF World Junior Championships

BYDGOSZCZ, Poland – University of Miami freshman Takecia Jameson advanced to the semifinals of the 400-meter hurdles with a quarterfinal time of 59.16 at the IAAF World Junior Championships held in Poland.
Currently, Jameson holds the best junior time in the world this season at 56.60. The Upper Marlboro, Md. native was a standout in her first year with the Hurricanes, earning All-American honors with a third place finish at the NCAA National Championships in June.
Jameson will run in the semifinals tomorrow at 6:10 Eastern Standard Time, looking to advance to Friday’s final.
