Talley Earns All-ACC Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Senior Khadija Talley placed second in the weight throw at the ACC Indoor Championships, held this year at the University of North Carolina’s Eddie Smith Field House/Belk Track.

The Columbus, Ga. native reached a mark of 19.82 meters in her second attempt, behind only Virginia Tech’s Brittany Pryor (20.10m).

Freshman Miranda Wilson placed 13th in the event while sophomore Deandra Doyley finished ninth in the heptathlon.

Friday’s action begins with the long jump at noon and the third and final day will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. with the shot put, an event Talley will aim for the conference crown.
