Hurricane Women's Track & Field Wraps Up Auburn Springtime Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – Junior Khadija Talley posted three NCAA qualifying marks and two first-place finishes to lead the University of Miami women’s track and field team at the Auburn Springtime Invitational Saturday.

Talley took first place in both the shot put (14.50 meters/47-07.00 feet) and discuss (48.07 meters/157-08 feet) and placed second in the hammer throw (54.62 meters/179-02 feet) – all of which topped the NCAA regional qualifying marks in each respective event.

In the high jump, sophomore Viktoria Andonova broke her own UM outdoor record and set a new Auburn Track Complex record with a first-place jump of 1.83 meters (6-00.00 feet).

Senior Ginou Etienne took first place in the 800-meters with a time of 2:09.89 finishing just ahead of sophomore teammate Ena Leufroy who placed second with a time of 2:10.17.

Freshman Deandra Doyley earned an NCAA regional mark and finished second in the long jump with a mark of 6.06 meters (19-10.75 feet) while senior teammate Amy Seward placed third with an NCAA regional mark of 6.05 meters (19-10.25 feet).

Seward also out-did the NCAA regional mark in the triple jump with a second-place mark of 12.45 meters (40-10.25 feet).
