Miami Finishes Day One of Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Several members of the University of Miami women’s track and field team saw success on the first day of competition at the Tyson Invitational including a third-place finish in the weight throw by junior Khadija Talley.

Talley’s mark of 19.56 meters was her fourth NCAA provisional throw this season.

In the 400 meters senior Ginou Etienne placed third overall with a NCAA provisional time of 53.84, marking the fastest time by a Hurricane this season.

Day two of the Tyson Invitational will conclude Saturday.
