Hurricanes Head to Clemson Invitational This Weekend

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s track team heads to Clemson, S.C. Friday and Saturday for the Clemson Invitational which will feature 11 additional teams including the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes are coming off an impressive start to the indoor season opener last weekend at the Florida Intercollegiate in Gainesville, Fla.
Last weekend, freshman Ashley Dukes (Hollywood Nova) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 55-meters while the UM 4×400-meter relay of senior Danielle Bailey (Neward, Del.), All-American Krista Simkins (Wissahickon, Pa.), All-American Ginou Etienne (Miami Central) and All-American Ena Leufroy (Atlanta, Ga.) who finished with a time of 3:45.15 to place first for the second-consecutive season at the Florida Intercollegiate.
Competition at the Clemson Invitational is slated to begin Friday morning with the distance medley relay and 60-meter high hurdles and wraps up in the afternoon with the 4×400-meter relay.
