Hurricanes Compete in Thursday Session of Texas Relays

Austin, Texas (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s track team competed in events today at the Texas Relays. All-American Dominique Darden (Harrisburg, Pa.) finished third in the preliminaries of the 400 hurdlers. An All-American in the event last year, this is the first time she has competed in the event this season.
Sophomore Khadija Talley (Benning, GA threw 50.59m in the hammer throw. The mark is her best of the outdoor season. Talley finished 22nd in the event.
The Texas Relays continues tomorrow morning with preliminaries of the 4×100 meter relay, the 4×400 meter relay, the 100 meter and the 100 meter hurdles. Field events include the long jump, javelin, shot put and discus. Action will conclude tomorrow evening with the Sprint Medley Relay. Results will be posted on hurricanesports.com after the final event and can be found live at texassports.com.
