Women's Track and Field to Compete at Florida Fast Times

(hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s track and field team is sending several athletes to compete in the Florida Fast Times meet, held in Gainesville, Fla. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on March 2, 2006.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

The meet is the last chance for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, on March 10-11.

Competing in the 55 meter dash are Chinela Davis and India Ransom.  Dominique Darden will be running the 55 meter hurdles along with Pavi’Elle James.  Darden will also be competing in the 200 meter dash.

In the field events, Davis, Brenda Faluade and Amy Seward will compete in the Long Jump.  Khadija Talley will be competing in the shot put.

A modified schedule of events is below, reflecting when Hurricanes will be competing. Results will be posted tomorrow at the conclusion of the meet.
