Hurricanes Complete Friday Sessions at Tyson Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami Women’s track and field team completed the Friday afternoon session at the Tyson Invitational. The 4×400 Meter relay team ran a NCAA Automatic qualifying standard. Three other athletes posted NCAA provisional marks.
Junior Ginou Etienne ran the 400 meters in 53.38, a season best that also is a NCAA provisional mark. She finished fifth in the event.
Junior Amy Seward posted a mark of 6.14m (20-01.75) in the long jump on her third jump. That mark is a NCAA provisional standard and she placed eighth in the event.
Senior Dominique Darden ran 6.41 in the 60 meter high hurdles in the preliminary rounds. That is a NCAA provisional standard and she finshed eleventh.
The Hurricanes compete again tonight in the Women’s 4×400 University Championships, and all day again tomorrow.
