Women's Track and Field to Compete at Penn State Invite

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami Women’s Track and Field team is traveling to University Park, Pa. to compete in the Penn State National Friday January 27-28, 2006 at the Pennsylvania State University Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Fresh off victories at the Florida Intercollegiate Open, senior Charlette Greggs (200 meter) and senior Tabia Charles (triple jump) return to action. Greggs will again be competing in the 200 meter dash and will also be running in the 4×400 meter relay. Charles will be competing in the long jump, triple jump and 60 meter dash.
Top collegiate finishers at the Florida Intercollegiate Open, senior Melanie Schultz (mile run), freshman Pavi’Elle James (55 hurdles) and junior Amy Seward (long jump) also will be competing this weekend. Schultz will be competing in the mile and the distance medley relay. James will run the 60 meter hurdles and compete in the long jump and Seward will run the 200 meter and compete in the pentathalon on Friday.
