ON NORTH CAROLINA A&T:
North Carolina A&T enters Tuesday’s game with a record of 0-1 following an 86-75 season opening loss at East Carolina. The Aggies had four playes score in double-figures including sophomore Demetrius Guions and junior Austin Ewing who tied for team-high honors with 16 points.
The Aggies shot just 39.3 percent from the field while allowing East Carolina to shoot 54 percent, but kept themselves in the game by forcing the Pirates into 20 turnovers.
THE SERIES:
Miami and North Carolina A&T meet for the second time with the Hurricanes winning the previous meeting 81-62 on December 22, 2003. Rob Hite led Miami that night recording team-highs in both points (19) and rebounds (5).
TV/RADIO:
The Miami vs. North Carolina A&T game is not being televised. The game will be broadcast on the Hurricane Radio Network, WQAM (560 AM). Joe Zagacki “The Voice of the Hurricanes” will call the action with Josh Darrow adding analysis. Brian London will serve as studio host. The game can also be heard on WVUM (90.5 FM), the University of Miami student radio network.
ON THE COACHES:
Miami head coach Frank Haith is in his second season with the Hurricanes. His record career record is 19-14, including a 3-1 mark this season.
North Carolina A&T head coach Jerry Eaves is in his fourth season as a head coach at the collegiate level, all with the Aggies. His record stands at 9-50, including a 0-1 mark this season.
KEEPING UP WITH THE ANTHONY’S:Miami juniors Anthony Harris and Anthony King may have been the most improved duo in the nation last season. The two improved their numbers in every statistical category last season. Anthony King has continued his remarkable improvement while Anthony Harris has been sidelined with a broken foot.

Miami shot 31-59 (.525) from the field against Morgan State marking the third time this season and the 43rd time since 1998 that the Hurricanes have shot 50 percent or better from the field. Since the 1998-99 season the Hurricanes are 39-4 when shooting 50 percent or better from the field.
HITE REACHES 1,000:
Rob Hite recorded 17 points against Virginia Tech last season to become the 27th player in UM history to score 1,000 career points. Hite currently ranks 17th on UM’s career scoring list with 1,218 career points. Miami’s all-time leading scorer is Rick Barry who recorded 2,298 points from 1962-65.

HOLDING TEAMS UNDER 100:
The University of Miami has always prided itself on playing tough defense. Over the last 16 seasons the Hurricanes have not allowed an opponent to reach the century mark, a streak of 434 games. The last team to reach the 100-point plateau was Miami (OH) on December 27, 1990 in a 101-99 double-overtime victory over UM at the Eastern Airlines Palm Beach Classic.
The last team to score 100 points against the Hurricanes in a non-overtime game was Providence on February 21, 1990, a 101-67 Friar victory at the Providence Civic Center.
Miami has not allowed a team to score 100 points at home since Kansas defeated Miami 100-73 on January 10, 1990, a current streak of 237 games.
