University of Miami is a Pontiac Game Changing Performance Finalist in ESPN/Pontiac NCAA Competition

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – This week, the Hurricanes have qualified as one of four finalists among morethan 400 universities nationwide for the “Pontiac Game Changing Performance”competition on ESPN.
Miami’s, Quadtrine Hill blocked and recovered a punt in the end zone for atouchdown, sparking Miami’s comeback win over North Carolina. The blocked puntand recovery made the Hurricanes a nominee for the “Pontiac Game ChangingPerformance” of the Week.
Now, NCAA® and Miami fans will select the winner among the four colleges by visitingwww.pontiac.com/ncaa, viewing a video of each play, and casting their votes forthe play of their choice. Voting occurs from Sunday morning through Wednesdaynight, with the winning university announced during the Pontiac PerformanceHalftime Report on ESPN Thursday night.
Each week, the winning university earns a $5,000 contribution from Pontiac fortheir general scholarship fund. Additionally, the winning play may benominated for the “Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year” competitionin December. The play selected in fan voting as the best of the year will earnan additional $100,000 general scholarship fund contribution from Pontiac tothe winning NCAA® institution. The key is – fans need to get online and vote!By the end of the season, Pontiac, a leading sponsor of the NCAA sportingevents and collegiate athletics will have contributed nearly $200,000 to NCAAinstitutions.
