Atlanta, Ga. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s 4×100-meter relay finished first at the Georgia Tech Invitational, tying the UM record with a mark of 43.64 seconds.

The Miami relay exacted some revenge against host Georgia Tech which upset the Hurricanes in the 4×100-meter relay at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships last month in Tallahassee. The Yellow Jackets placed second on Saturday with a time of 44.32 seconds.

Miami’s winning time is the fourth fastest in the nation and ranks second in the East Region heading into the NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championships, May 27-28, at Randall’s Island, N.Y.
