State College, Pa. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Amber Williams (Succasunna, N.J.) posted a school- and stadium-record 4,088 points to win the pentathlon at the Penn State National Track Meet in State College, Pa.

Williams mark shattered her own school-record of 3,843 points set last season and automatically qualifies her for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 11-12, in Fayetteville, Ark.

Sophomore Amy Seward (Virginia Beach, Va.) placed fourth in the pentathlon with 3,512 points. Her point total ranks second on the Hurricanes’ all-time indoor performance list.

In the long jump, sophomore All-American Tabia Charles (Pickering, Ontario) placed second with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 6.26 meters (20-06.25). Last season Charles became the first UM jumper to earn All-America honors in both the long jump and triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
