Hite Named ACC Player of the Week

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami junior Robert Hite (Cincinnati, Ohio) was named the ACC Player of the Week after averaging 23.5 points and seven rebounds in a pair of Hurricane victories over Florida International and Massachusetts.
Hite had a game-high 29 points and a team-high nine rebounds against Florida International on December 7 connecting on 11-19 from the field including 7-10 from three-point range. He recorded 18 points and five rebounds Sunday versus Massachusetts hitting 6-11 from the field including 5-6 from behind the arc.
In Miami’s two victories Hite shot 17-30 (.567) from the field and 12-16 (.750) from three-point range. Hite, who is averaging an ACC best 21.4 points per game, is the first Miami men’s basketball player to be honored as Player of the Week.
The Hurricanes (5-2) have won four consecutive games and will face Stetson on Saturday, December 18 at 4 p.m. at the Convocation Center. Tickets for the Stetson game start at just $10.
