ON FLORIDA ATLANTIC:
Florida Atlantic enters its match-up with Miami with a record of 0-2 following a 90-47 loss at Florida on November 23. The Owls also lost on the road to FIU, 65-62, in their season-opener. Florida Atlantic returns five lettermen, including three starters, from last season’s team that finished 9-19 overall, 6-14 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Owls have been led in scoring this season by junior guard Quinton Young who is averaging 15.0 points per game. Young, who poured in 26 points against Florida International in the season-opener, is the only Owl averaging in double-figures. Senior center Robert Williams ranks second on the team in scoring at 9.5 points per game and leads the team in rebounding pulling down 8.0 rebounds per contest.
HURRICANE ORANGE NIGHT:
All fans that wear orange in support of the Hurricanes at Miami’s game against intra-state rival Florida Atlantic will receive General Admission tickets for only $8 (Game day purchase only).
ON THE COACHES:
Frank Haith was named Miami’s 11th head men’s basketball coach on April 12, 2004. In his 15 seasons as an assistant at the D-I level, he has helped lead teams that have won an NIT Championship, advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen three times, reached one Elite Eight and one Final Four. Haith, who is in his first season as a head coach, is 1-2 this season with the Hurricanes. FAU head coach Sidney Green is in his fifth season with the Owls and ninth season overall. His record at FAU is 44-106 (.293) while his overall mark stands at 93-166 (.359).
TV/RADIO:
The Miami-FAU game will be televised live by Sunshine. Frank Forte will call all the action with Charles Davis adding analysis. The game will also be broadcast on the Hurricane Radio Network, WQAM (560 AM). Joe Zagacki “The Voice of the Hurricanes” will call the action with Josh Darrow adding analysis. Brian London will serve as studio host. Fans can also catch the game on WVUM (90.5 FM) the UM Student Radio Network.

THE SERIES:
Miami and Florida Atlantic meet for the 18th time with Hurricanes holding a 16-1 all-time series lead. Miami defeated FAU, 76-51, last season at the Convocation Center and is 10-0 all-time against the Owls at home.
MIAMI vs. NON-CONFERENCE OPPONENTS:
Since UM began conference play in 1991-92, the Hurricanes have compiled an 92-45 (.672) record against non-conference opponents, including a 65-15 (.813) mark at home. Miami was 10-4 against non-conference opponents in 2003-04 and is 1-2 this season.
VS THE STATE OF FLORIDA:
Miami is 296-145 (.671) against teams from the state of Florida. Miami has won 31 of its last 35 games against Florida schools dating back to the 1992-93 season.
