Hite Named Big East Player Of The Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami guard Robert Hite (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Week after leading the Hurricanes to a pair of victories.
Hite, who is the first Hurricane to win BIG EAST Player of the Week honors this season, wins the award for the first time in his career.
Hite averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 17-23 (.739) from the field, 4-8 (.500) from three-point range, and 7-7 from the line in wins over North Carolina A&T and Florida Atlantic.
He scored a game-high 19 points to with five rebounds, two blocks and two steals against North Carolina A&T, and followed up with a career-high 26 points in 26 minutes in Miami’s win over Florida Atlantic.
