Statement From University of Miami Forward Darius Rice

“Since the end of the season there has been a lot of speculation as to my future. I wanted to come here today and make a definitive statement as to my future plans. Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine, but the most important thing to me was making a decision I could be comfortable with. I wanted to take my time, research all my options and make a decision that was best for me, and my family. With the help of my parents, Coach Clark and the UM coaching staff I was able to gather the necessary information needed to make a decision I am happy with. And that is to return to the University of Miami for my senior year. I am looking forward to next season and am excited to get back to work with my teammates.”
