No. 14 Women's Tennis Hosts No. 35 Harvard

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 14-ranked Miami women’s tennis team will face a tough team in No. 35 Harvard Monday at 11 a.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The match is Student/Staff Day; all students attending will get free pizza. Attendance is free.

The Hurricanes (4-1) are coming off a 6-1 loss to No. 2 Florida this weekend, while Harvard (3-1) is coming off a 7-0 shutout over Florida International.

Harvard posted a 4-3 upset victory over No. 15 Washington earlier this season.

Freshman Melissa Applebaum (Coral Gables, Fla.) remains undefeated on the season at 5-0. She upset the No. 9 ranked player in the nation Saturday as she beat Alex Gordon of UF in straight sets.

Harvard has four ranked players including the No. 19-ranked player, Courtney Bergman.
