CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – Spring Football Practice for the Miami Hurricanes continued with a 90-minute workout Friday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Field on the University of Miami campus. More than 200 high school coaches from across the nation observed the workout as part of UM’s two-day Coaches’ Clinic, a record number of attendees for the clinic.

The Hurricanes worked out in shorts and shoulder pads in rainy conditions before ending the day with some 7-on-7 work. On the injury front, defensive tackle Vince Wilfork (broken right hand) and fullback Talib Humphrey (concussion) returned to action. Wilfork sat out Wednesday’s practice while Humphrey practiced for the first time this week. Defensive end Andrew Williams (dislocated knee) was held out of contact, but was involved in conditioning work.

The Hurricanes will continue Spring Practice Saturday morning with a workout scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Cobb Stadium. All Spring Practices are open to the public. With Friday’s practice, Miami has eight of 15 practices remaining in 2002 Spring Football that will conclude with the annual Fox SportsNet CanesFest Spring Game at the Orange Bowl.

Fans can join the team at the Orange Bowl on Saturday, April 6, for Fox SportsNet CanesFest and get an early peek at the Hurricanes in action during their annual Spring Game. Fans who purchase season tickets that day can select seats for the upcoming season, which features home games against Florida State and Virginia Tech. In addition to the game, players and coaches will be available for autographs and fans can tour the Hurricane locker room.
