Hurricanes Open Game Week Prep For FAMU
Aug. 27, 2002
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The Miami football team continued to prepare for Saturday’s Florida A&M meeting with a Monday practice that coach Larry Coker deemed successful.
“The guys moved around really well today,” Coker said. “We had a lot more enthusiasm and we really wanted that and wanted to practice fast and we practiced fast today. I’m very encouraged with what I saw. We’re still making some mistakes. We’re not where we want to be. We do have some work to do the rest of the week, but we have some time to correct and if our attitude’s good, we’ll correct those mistakes.”
The Hurricanes’ first game of the season is Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in the Orange Bowl.
