Rice Leads Hurricanes In 90-62 Victory Over Florida A&M

MIAMI (AP) – Darius Rice hit six 3-point baskets and scored a season-high 24points as the University of Miami defeated Florida A&M 90-62 Tuesday, markingthe first time the Hurricanes started a season 10-0.
Miami had 13 3-point baskets, tied for second most in school history, andthe Hurricanes led by as much as 32 points in the second half.
Rice was 8 of 14 from the field and six of 10 from behind the 3-point arc.Kahleaf Watson and Marcus Barnes, who hit four 3-pointers, each had 12 points,while Elton Tyler finished with 10.
Florida A&M (1-8), which lost its sixth straight game, was paced by SonnyTudeme’s 14 points. Dominique Jackson scored 13 points, Nicholaus Ross added 12and Michael Griffith had 10.
The Hurricanes have now won 27 straight games against Florida schools.
The last time Miami won 10 straight was in 1965. The longest winning streakin school history is 14 in 1947 and again in 1962.
