The time is near for the 67th Annual Heisman Trophy Announcement and our own Miami Hurricane Ken Dorsey ranks among the top with a chance to bring it home.
Dorsey’s performance so far this year is stellar, throwing for 166-of-269 passes for 2,419 yards with 22 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. According to ESPN’s Heisman poll, Dorsey is currently in second place just behind Florida Quarterback Rex Grossman.
Both quarterbacks have a lot on the line this weekend. Heisman voters have until December 6th to get their ballots in and you can bet that all eyes will be on Dorsey and Grossman as it comes down to the wire. There is still a chance for one of our own to take home the most coveted award in college football. But, the Hurricanes’ future is dependent upon the outcome of this weekend’s highly anticipated match-up between Virginia Tech and Miami on Saturday.
The 67th Annual Heisman Trophy Announcement will be televised live on ESPN, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001 at 7 p.m. from the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.
Don’t forget to cast your vote for the Heisman Trophy winner by logging onto www.voteheisman.com The winner of that poll will receive one official vote.
