ST. CROIX, Virgin Islands (AP)John Salmons had 18 points and 10 reboundsas Miami held off Clemson 67-65 Tuesday night in the championship game of theParadise Jam.

The Hurricanes (3-0) led 67-62 with 2 minutes remaining. Chris Hobbs made athree-point play with 47 seconds left for Clemson (2-1).

After both teams missed chances, Clemson inbounded with 4.5 seconds to go.Hobbs missed a short shot and teammate Edward Scott missed a jumper as time ranout.

Salmons was picked as the tournament MVP. Marcus Barnes added 13 points.

Hobbs had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers. Jamar McKnight alsoscored 19 for Clemson.

In the third-place game, Rasual Butler had 17 points and 16 rebounds to leadLa Salle over Alabama-Birmingham 63-58.
