CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – Hurricane fans, be sure to catch all of these great activities this weekend surrounding the BIG EAST showdown between the ‘Canes and the Orangemen. The game kicks off at 3:30 but be sure to get there early!
Here’s a list of activities surrounding the game:
ESPN College GameDay – with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso from 10:30-noon. Parking lots will open at 10:00 AM for all fans wanting to come early. The show will air live in Lot W-4 on the corner of NW 17th Avenue and NW 4th Street.
Tostitos Tailgate Tour – will be located near Lot N-2. Tostitos will have a complete interactive set-up with Tostitos samples, inflatables, a big screen with video highlights of Hurricane Football, a Football Toss, a Field Goal Kick and Talk Chalk with the Voice of the Hurricanes, Mark Vandermeer and former Hurricane players. Open free of charge from 10:30 AM – game time.
Discover Card Tailgate – Discover will bring their ESPN Game Day replica stage for ESPN commentary interactive for fans to audition on and win prizes. Discover will also be located near Lot N-2 and will be open free of charge from 10:30 AM – game time.
Touchdown Alley – open from 1:30 – 3:00 PM inflatables, sampling and interactive activities
Pre-Game – Men’s Tennis presentation for the 2000-2001 BIG EAST Conference Championship
Half time – 75th Anniversary Celebration with Warren Chaille, the last surviving member of the Miami Hurricane’s first football team in 1926. Chaille was a back up quarterback on a team won all 8 games played.
– The 1951 and 1991 Hurricane football teams will be returning and honored during half-time for their achievements and accomplishments.
