Oct. 16, 2001
Coral Gables, FL (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami will offer a Family Season Ticket package for the upcoming 2001-02 men’s basketball season. The package will cost only $175 and includes admission for two adults and three children to all seven weekend home games.
Family Plan seats will be located in the lower-bowl sections of the Miami Arena.
Miami’s weekend schedule includes three non-conference games and four BIG EAST Conference battles. The Hurricanes home opener against Lafayette on Nov. 24th and a visit from Charlotte, the defending Conference USA Champion, on Dec. 22 highlight the non-conference portion of the Family Plan.
BIG EAST games included in the Family Plan are Providence (Jan. 19), Connecticut (Feb. 2), Notre Dame (Feb. 23) and Virginia Tech (Mar. 2). Providence and Notre Dame advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, while Connecticut is one of the favorites to win the BIG EAST title this season.
Season-ticket packages are on sale at the UM Ticket Office located at the Hecht Athletic Center on the UM campus. The Hurricane Ticket Office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Fans wishing to place orders by phone can call the UM Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-CANES.
