Calling all youth teams and adult league players. Have you wondered what it is like to play on the official University of Miami basketball court with your classmates or teammates? Now is your chance.

Youth/Adult league teams now have the opportunity to play an organized basketball game prior to the men’s or women’s games on the same floor as your Hurricanes. Hurricane Hoops is limited to two teams that will have full access to the court 3 hours and 45 minutes prior to the start of the University of Miami games. Teams will have 30-minutes to warm-up and 1-hour to complete a 4-period basketball game.

Each team must provide the following:Teams must come dressed to play. There will be no access to locker rooms before the Hurricane Hoops gameTeams are asked to provide an official scorer/statistician/referee*Teams will have access to the public address system. Teams are encouraged to recruit a public address announcer to introduce the players prior to tip-off

The University of Miami will provide:One basketball for warm-ups per team. An official basketball will be used for the Hurricane Hoops basketball gameDJ to play music during time-outs and dead periods

*Miami can provide a referee for a fee of $30.00

All participants and fans of the Hurricane Hoops game must have a game ticket to the University of Miami basketball game to be allowed into the arena. Tickets to the Hurricane Hoops game are sold at a discounted rate. Each ticket is $7.00 with the exception of the men’s basketball game vs. Uconn ($10). Ticket prices to the women’s games start at $2.00. There are no minimum ticket requirements to allow your team to participant in Hurricane Hoops. However, if your team does purchase the following amount of tickets, your team will:

If team sells 75 tickets: Featured on hurricanesports.com as ‘Hurricane Hoops Team of the Week’If team sells 100 tickets: Pre-game recognition prior to tip-offIf team sells 125 tickets: Autographed basketball by Perry Clark*

*Only one basketball will be rewarded to the youth team leader

At the conclusion of the Hurricane Hoops game, both teams and fans must exit the arena and are allowed to return once the gates open for the University of Miami game.
