BIG EAST Crossover Opponents Announced

PROVIDENCE, RI – The BIG EAST Conference has announced thecross-divisional men’s basketball league games for the 2001-02 season. Thesematch-ups will supplement each team’s 12 divisional games. Each BIG EAST team plays a 16-game conference schedule. The BIG EASTconsists of two seven-team divisions with each divisional opponent meetingon a home-and-home basis. Each team then plays four games against teams fromthe other division.
Miami’s divisional opponents are Boston College, Connecticut,Providence, St. John’s, Villanova and Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes’crossover games will consist of home clashes with Notre Dame and Pittsburgh,and road contests versus Georgetown and Rutgers.
Dates and times have yet to be determined.
