No. 28 Women's Tennis Falls To No. 21 South Alabama, 5-2

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The No. 28-ranked Miami women’s tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 21 South Alabama Sunday afternoon in Mobile, Ala.
The Hurricanes fall to 13-6 overall, while the Jaguars improve to 15-3 on the season.
Miami lost the doubles point in a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles, Alanna Broderick and Katia Bogomolova fell 9-8 (5) to Josien Boverhof and Nienke Scheltens.
The freshman duo of Sihem Bennacer and Bettina Hafner defeated Silvia Sosnarova and Viktoria Stoklasova 8-4 at the No. 3 spot.
Hafner went on to beat Sosnarova at No. 1 singles 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Bogomolova downed Iva Puflerova 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
The Hurricanes are back in action Friday traveling to face No. 5 Florida at 4 p.m.
