NO. 43 WOMEN’S TENNIS DOWNS NO. 35 SOUTH FLORIDA 5-2

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The No. 43 ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team downed No. 35 South Florida 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Miami improves to 5-1 overall, while South Florida falls to 2-1.

The Hurricanes won the doubles point, with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Katia Bogomolova and Marcy Hora teamed up to defeat Natalie Schwartz and Genevieve Houle at the No. 2 spot, 8-4 and freshman duo Sihem Bennacer and Bettina Hafner defeated Ashlee Callahan and Ildiko Zubor at No. 3 doubles.

Miami went on to pick up singles victories from, Bogomolova, Hafner, Hora and Bennacer to clinch the win.

The #43 Hurricanes are back in action Sunday taking on #30 Texas A&M at 9:45 a.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
