Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Head coach Butch Davis and members of the University of Miami football team took part in CanesFest 2000 Saturday afternoon at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The event, which was hosted by the Broward County chapter of the Hurricane Club, was attended by an estimated 5,000 fans and featured interactive games for kids, player autographs sessions, player contests, auction items, Sebastian the Ibis, and the University of Miami Cheerleaders.

“On behalf of the team and the coaching staff I want to personally thank all the fans that attended,” said Davis. “This was a tremendous crowd. It was a great way to kick off the 2000 season and I know everyone associated with the program appreciates their support.”
