Broadway To Leave Gators For Tar Heels

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) – Florida defensive line coach Rod Broadway willleave the Gators after the Sugar Bowl to coach the same position at his almamater, North Carolina.
Broadway declined comment on the move, but coach Steve Spurrierconfirmed itWednesday.
“He got an opportunity to go to his alma mater, go back to his homestate,so we wish him the best up there,” Spurrier said. “We think it’s a wonderfulopportunity. He’s been an excellent coach here.”
Broadway has coached at Florida since 1995. He’ll join the staff ofnewlyhired Tar Heels coach John Bunting.
