Thanks to the fans who keep writing!

The emails just keep pouring in to thank the seniors for their hard efforts on the field and in the classroom.

Santana Moss, Dan Morgan from William Hodges, Charlotte, NCDear Santana and Dan,
When I turn on the TV every Saturday to watch the Hurricanes I look at the two of ya’ll. I look at Santana because of his lighting speed and great hands. I look at Dan because like him I am a linebacker and like hime I hate parties and have never had a beer and don’t intend to. Although I don’t know either of ya’ll, you all have been good role models to look up to. Thanks and good luck in the future. You will be missed by the University of Miami and especially by your biggest fan.

William Hodges, 13

Reggie Wayne from Gerry Paredes, Irvine, California
Just want to say that I’m a big fan of yours and that you are one of the best wide receivers ever to come out of Miami. I’ve never been to Florida, but I’ve been a Canes fan since 1989. You could say i’m a band wagoneer. Anyway, good luck to you in the NFL, and congratulations to all of you on winning the Big East title.

Reggie Wayne from Joe Davison {MiamiJoe}, Kissimmee Fl
As a long time Canes fan dating back to 1964 I want to thank you for helping rebuild our tradition of excellence both off and on the field by your always exuding class and character of the highest level. I think the high caliber of young receivers we have recruited is a direct result of your unselfesh example of team leadership. Thank You,
Joe Davison

ALL SENIORS from Slade Miller, Gadsden, Alabama
I have been a Hurricane fan since I was 7 in 1983. I have so many great memories of Hurricane football like Nebraska ’83, Oklahoma ’86 and ’87, Notre Dame ’87 and ’89, and our many victories over Florida State. I was a standout high school athlete and I wanted so badly to play for the Canes but it was not God’s will. But I am still the biggest Hurricane fan in the world and I want to thank all of you seniors for putting us back on top. You guys have shown alot of character by sticking through the hard times on probation and making us #1 again. I wish I could have been playing down there with ya’ll during it and hope ya’ll know how lucky ya’ll are to be a Miami Hurricane. Good luck to everyone of you in football and in life. Thanks for getting us back on top. I will always remember you guys for bringing us back and for your character you all have shown. Good Luck! Reguardless of the computers, we are number one because we won it on the field. Go Canes!

James Jackson from Dwight Heard, West Palm Beach
JJ: Thanks for staying your last year of eligibility. I enjoyed watching you on Saturdays and especially beating FSU on your last try. Good luck for the remainder of the season and next year’s draft.

Dwight

Dan Morgan from Eric Cates, Rockwood Tennessee
Dan, You are the best linebacker in college football that I have seen in 20years. You come to play every play like it was the one that will win the National Championship.Good luck in the NFL,look forward to watching you on Sunday next year.

ALL SENIORS from RICHARD C. DRAKE JR., BIRMINGHAM, AL
I live in Birmingham, AL, an all I hear about is Alabama this and Alabama that. You guy’s are great! I am glad that each one of you choose to go to the University. And whatever happens this year in this fan heart you are all Nationl Champions. A few year ago I had a chance to build a relationship with an ex-hurricane Alonzo Highsmigh, he ran his own club here. I have always wanted to attend a Miami Football game. (in the Orange Bowl) …

TO ALL SENIORS from JOHN NAYLOR, DIXIE, GA

Ithink that you are the best receiver in Miami history. I also think that the Hurricanes should be in the Orange Bowl this seaaon due to the fact that you beat the #1 and #2 teams in the nation. I wear your jersey to school everytime Miami wins a game I am the only fan of your team at my school. I live in West Virgina so when Miami came to play WVU i wore my jersey and got cussed out a whole bunch.Well I just wanted to tell you what big fan i am of your team.Good luck in thr=e rest of your career.
