Miami's Jonathan Vilma Named Freshman All-American

SEATTLE, Wash. – Rivals.com announced it’s True Freshman All-America Team with Miami freshman linebacker Jonathan Vilma representing the Hurricanes with a first-team honor. Rivals.com also named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year. Only true freshman players were eligible for the team, which consists of a First Team Offense and Defense, and Honorable Mention. Texas wide receiver Roy Williams was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Purdue free safety Stuart Schweigert was named Defensive Player of the Year.
