Coelho Out 4-6 Months

Coral Gables, FL – University of Miami junior guard Paulo Coelho (Figueira da Foz, Portugal) is expected to miss four to six months after undergoing surgery Thursday evening to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in right knee.

The procedure was performed by Dr. John Uribe at HealthSouth Doctors’ Hospital.

Coelho played in 31 games last season, including three starts, and averaged 2.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. His 1.44-to-1 assist to turnover ration ranked second on the team.
