UM Falls 2-0 To Boston College

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s soccer team fell 2-0 to Boston College in a hard fought BIG EAST battle Sunday afternoon at Cobb Stadium.
UM drops to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the BIG EAST, while BC improves to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in conference action.
The Hurricanes dominated the entire match, but were unable to connect on any goals. Several of the Hurricanes attempts on goal hit the crossbar. UM had a total of 13 shots, while BC had 10.
BC’s Meghan Moore scored at 15:10 taking the 1-0 lead into halftime. Sarah Ranko scored at 74:11 securing the 2-0 win for BC.
Lisa Gomez (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Dee Bass (Parkland, Fla.) led the Hurricanes with three shots apiece.
UM goalkeeper Elizabeth Swinson (Boca Raton, Fla.) made three saves on the afternoon.
The Hurricanes are back in action Friday at 4 p.m. traveling to Jamaica, NY to face BIG EAST opponent St. John’s.
