Clarke & Watson Earn All-America Honors

Indianapolis, IN – Sophomore Kareen Clarke and junior Natalie Watson both earned All-America honors in leading the University of Miami to a 29th place finish (seven points) at the 2000 NCAA Indoor National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.
UCLA won the team title with 51 points.
Clarke finished in fifth-place in the triple jump, with a leap of 13.17 meters (43-02.50), while Watson took home sixth in the 800-meters, with a time of 2:06.85. In the preliminaries, Watson broke her own school-record with a time of 2:06.38.
The Hurricanes return to the track, to begin their outdoor season, on March 18 for the Hurricane Invitational at Cobb Stadium on the Coral Gables Campus.
