Women's Hoops Heads To Georgetown

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (11-12, 5-7 BIG EAST) will travel to Georgetown (13-10, 6-6 BIG EAST) on Saturday, February 19 at McDonough Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for noon.
This is the 17th meeting between the two schools with Miami holding a 9-7 series advantage. The game marks the first of a two-game road swing for the Hurricanes as well as the second meeting between the schools this season. The Hoyas took a slim, 63-61, decision in Coral Gables earlier this year.
UM has won two straight and three of its last four. The ‘Canes handed West Virginia a 77-55 loss on Tuesday as Dalia Clarke recored her first career double-double with 18 point and 13 rebounds and Gina Graziani become UM’s career assist leader with an 11-point, eight-assist performance. She now has 696 career assists.
The Hoyas are looking to end a two-game skid after dropping decisions to Syracuse (75-62) and No. 19 Boston College (72-49). Georgetown is led by Katie Smrcka-Duffy (17.8 ppg., 5.4 rpg.).
The game is part of the BIG EAST television package and will be broadcast live on SportsChannel Florida.
