UM Women Take On Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (9-12, 3-7 BIG EAST) travels to Providence, RI to take on Providence College on Saturday, February 12 at Alumni Hall. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.

This game marks the 18th meeting between the two schools. Miami holds a 13-4 advantage, winning five straight contests dating back to the 1995-96 season. The ‘Canes handed the Friars an, 85-63, loss in Coral Gables last year. Hurricane head coach Ferne Labati is 4-0 against PC mentor Jim Jabir.

The game marks the third consecutive road game for UM as it returns to the road after splitting two games a week ago. The Hurricanes snapped a five-game skid with a win over West Virginia (70-50), before falling to top-ranked Connecticut (84-36).

UM is led by Alicia Hartlaub (10.6 ppg., 6.6 rpg.) and Gina Graziani (8.8 ppg., 5.85 apg.).
