Women's Hoops Jumps Ahead Early, Falls To No. 18 BC, 66-55

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) – Cal Bouchard scored 19 points and No. 18 BostonCollege pulled away in the second half to beat the Miami Hurricanes 66-55Wednesday night.

Jamie Cournoyer had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Boston College (18-4, 7-1Big East).

Camilla Osth led Miami (8-11, 2-6) with 16 points. The Hurricanes shot only38 percent and were outrebounded 41-27.

Miami built an eight-point lead in the first half, but Alissa Murphy’sthree-point play gave Boston College its first lead just before halftime.

The Eagles made eight of nine free throws down the stretch.
