Miami Hosts Seton Hall In BIG EAST Action

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (7-6, 1-1 BIG EAST) will host Seton Hall (5-7, 0-3 BIG EAST) on Saturday, January 15 at 2 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex on the Coral Gables campus. This is the 17th meeting between the two schools with Miami holding a 9-7 advantage. UM has won five consecutive vs. the Hall dating back to the 1995-96 season.
The game marks the beginning of a three-game homestand for UM after its return from an eight-day three-game road trip, going 1-2. Most recently, the ‘Canes fell to Western Kentucky, 75-68. Freshman Alicia Hartlaub scored a career-high 22 points in the effort. Sheila James finished with 20.
The Hurricanes are led by Sheila James (15.2 ppg., 5.4 rpg.) and Gina Graziani (9.7 ppg., 6.46 apg.).
The Pirates travel to Coral Gables looking for their first conference win of the year. SHU is led by Arminda Moreno (11.6 ppg., 4.3 rpg.).
The game will be televised by SportsChannel Florida via tape delay on Sunday, January 16 at 4 p.m.
