HURRICANES TAKE ON WESTERN KENTUCKY

BOWLING GREEN, KY – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (7-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) finishes a three-game road swing with a game vs. Western Kentucky (6-6, 1-1 Sun Belt) Tuesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. at E.A. Diddle Arena. This is the fifth meeting between the two schools with the series tied 2-2. The Lady Toppers have won the two most recent games including last year’s game, 75-61, at the Knight Sports Complex.

UM is 7-5, 1-1 BIG EAST on the season, most recently defeating St. John’s, 68-47, on Saturday. Four Hurricanes scored in double fgures led by senior Gina Graziani’s team-high 17 points. Miami is led offensively by Sheila James (14.8 ppg., 5.3 rpg.) and Graziani (9.6 ppg., 6.4 apg.).

Western Kentucky carries a record of 6-6, 1-1 Sun Belt, entering tomorrow’s contest. Leading the Lady Toppers are ShaRae Mansfield (17.6 ppg., 9.4 apg.) and Jamie Britt (13.5 ppg., 8.2 rpg.)
