How ’bout them ‘Canes!!! Call it want you want: Revenge, Paybackorwhatever, all I know is that the Miami Hurricanes showed up on Saturdayand played football.

With all the talk leading up to the game aboutlast year’s performance against the Orangemen, I thought the guyshandledit very well in the sorts of not making this game about a war of words. We concentrated on the business at hand and not all the negative chitchat. We figured they had two weeks to prepare for us so we had toexpect the unexpected. We thought with that much time toprepare we would see more outlandish plays, but nothing they did reallystood out. We played solid in all three phases of the game whichprobably had something to do with their play selection.

It was just great to finally come out and play well. We put together afull 60 minutes of football and that is what made the difference. There were somany momentum swings in the game — Santana Moss’s punt return for atouchdown and Leonard Myers‘ interception also for a touchdown were twoofthe biggest before the half that seemed to get us rolling. You knowwhatthey say, big-time players make big-time plays in big games.

The Temple Owls will by flying in this week. The game that waspostponed due to Hurricane Irene, will be played this Saturday at noon.Youwant to talk about not knowing what to expect, these guys have nothingtolose. It is the last game of the season, they have two wins and wethink their mindset would be to play spoiler and ruin our bowl chances. We might see the kitchen sink, the tub, as a matter of fact the wholehouse. They have great players on both sides of the football and with twoweeksto prepare there is no telling what trickery they will pull. We justhave to be prepared as always and execute the game plan.

Well I must say that two years of marriage has gone by as fast as ablur. Jessica and I will celebrate our two-year anniversary (Nov.29).Timing is good considering we do not have practice today. We canactually see each other without the interference of practice or latemeetings. I must say it’s been great, with the percentage stackedagainstsuch a fine institution, we have had fun together and enjoyed everymoment.

So come on out ‘Canes fans to catch a final look at YOUR ‘Canes inregular season action at the OB, although I know that we will see ya atthe bowl game.

From a ‘Cane to all those crazed ‘Cane fans!!!
