No. 25 Miami Hosts Bethune-Cookman

Coral Gables, FL – The 25th-ranked University of Miami men’s basketball team (2-0) will take on Bethune-Cookman (2-1) on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Miami Arena.
Miami, which has won 20 consecutive games against team from the state of Florida, looks to continue its recent dominance at the Miami Arena. The Hurricanes have posted a 59-16 (.787) record at Miami Arena since 1994. Miami’s home record over the last five seasons ranks as the fourth best among BIG EAST teams behind only Connecticut, Villanova and Georgetown.
The Hurricanes are coming off of a 67-46 home opening win over Monmouth on November 23. Miami was led by National Player of the Year candidate Johnny Hemsley who poured in a game-high 24 points. Hemsley currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring at 20.5 points per game.
Bethune-Cookman is coming off of an 82-71 defeat at Siena on Sunday.
The Wildcats are averaging 82 points per game this season while shooting a blistering 91-177 (.514) from the floor. Bethune-Cookman, which boasts for players averaging in double-figures, has been led in scoring this season by 6-3 guard Freddie Cole. Cole is averaging 22.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game while shooting 19-36 (.528) from the field, 9-19 (.474) from three-point range and 19-21 (.905) from the line.
