Moving right along in the Big East schedule, wecame away with a big win in Pittsburgh. This win didwonders for our confidence going into the matchup inBlacksburg, VA. Pitt is a team that had always playedus tough in the past and in Saturday’s game they forcedus to execute in order to win…

Well, enough about the Panthers, everyone wants to knowwhat we think about the upcoming game against #2rank Virginia Tech. For starters they have beaten usfour years in a row, so in that aspect it may seemthat they have the early edge. They have greatathletes, such as Butkus semi-finalist Corey Moore, who has made a difference in their wins and lossesthis season.

Their overall team effort is great, they force you toexecute on offense, defense and special teams. As ateam we do well in all of these areas. However, we willbe tested.

The challenge is there, this is the reason guys signtheir letter of intent to come to Miami, to play ingames such as this. This game is a measuring stick ofour program and the direction it’s headed. They arethe #2 ranked team in the country, the pressure is onthem to prove to the country that they should hold onto that ranking. The challange for us is to show thecollege football world that we are also on the map.The ingredients in this one should make this a veryfun-filled, hard hitting, 60 minute clash of thetitans.

Just don’t count out the ‘Canes yet. We allremember what happened to UCLA a year ago when they weremaking plans to go to the Fiesta Bowl and overlookedthe Hurricanes.

In the midst of all this, we are all getting ready forthe spring semester. There is only 4 weeks left inthe fall semester and boy are we looking forward toits end. Spring registration will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 9th, so thewhole team will make a mad rush totheir advisors to get registered.

That’s about it for this week, support us at home ifyou are not able to make it to Blacksburg ‘Canesfans….and we’ll see ya at home in a few weeks.

From a ‘Cane to all the ‘Canes fans,

Andre’ King
