Women's Basketball Begins Preparation For 1999-2000 Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball teamlooks to improve on their 15-14 season from a year ago and make their thirdstraight trip to the postseason as practice for the 1999-2000 season isofficially underway. The Hurricanes return senior starter Gina Graziani atthe point as well as a host of returnees including juniors Dona Nando andCamilla Osth. Overall, the ‘Canes return seven letterwinners from lastyear’s Women’s NIT qualifying team.

UM will host for two exhibition games at the Knight Sports Complexon the Coral Gables campus on Nov. 14, at 2 p.m., and Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m.The Hurricanes regular-season home-opener is slated for Nov. 21 vs. Furman,at 2 p.m., at the Knight Sports Complex.
