Hurricane Senior Nick Gramsky Wins Walt Disney Classic

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Senior Nick Gramsky (Chesapeake Beach, MD)finished first with a time of 26:18.44 to lead the University of Miami men’scross country team to a second-place finish at the Walt Disney World CrossCountry Classic held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex in Lake BuenaVista, Fla.

Gramsky, the Hurricanes’ top finisher in every race this year,recorded his first individual victory of the season following second-placefinishes at the Greentree Invitational and FIU Invitational.

Miami (84 points) finished second in the 22 team field, five pointsbehind Youngstown State (79 points).

On the women’s side, junior Shannon Sarabyn (Centreville, VA)finished third in a time of 19:38.61 to lead the Miami women to asixth-place finish at the 24 team event.

Miami, which had four runners finish in the top-50, recorded 179points. South Carolina (41 points) won the team title while CentralFlorida’s Sonja Shedden (18:50.19) took first individually.
