James Named All-American

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Universityof Miami senior forward Tim James hasbeen named third team All-America by the National Association of BasketballCoaches.

James, the 1998-99 BIG EASTCo-Player of the Year, averagedteam-highs in scoring (18.6 ppg), rebounding (8.2 rpg) and blocks (2.2bpg)this season in leading the Hurricanes to a 23-7 overall record, 15-3in theBIG EAST, and the school’s second NCAA Tournament appearance in asmanyseasons.

James, who ends his UM careerranked fourth on its career scoringlist (1,713 points), fifth on its career rebounding list (856 rebounds)andsecond on its career blocked shots list (224 blocks), was also namedthirdteam All-America by the Associated Press on March 8th.
