Graham & McClinton Named to 2007 All-ACC Academic Men's Basketball Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –
<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>University of Miami junior Jack McClinton and sophomore Jimmy Graham have been named to the 2007 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men’s Basketball team as announced Thursday by ACC Commissioner John Swofford.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
Over the past two seasons, UM’s five All-ACC Academic Team selections are more than any other school in the conference and for the second-consecutive season, head coach Frank Haith’s Hurricanes were one of only three schools to boast multiple honorees.
McClinton, a Third Team All-ACC selection who majors in Sports Administration, averaged 16.7 points per game this season while leading the ACC in free throw percentage (.895) and three-point field goal percentage (.440).
A Business Management major, Graham earned All-ACC Academic honors for the second-straight season after averaging 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
To be eligible for consideration, a player must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
