GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released the men’s basketball scheduling model for the 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons as approved by the league’s Faculty Representatives, Athletic Directors and Head Coaches.

The current 2004-05 schedule is a stand alone schedule based on a one year, 11-team format. For the next three seasons, each of the league’s 12 member schools will play a 16-game conference schedule that includes two primary partners and nine rotating partners.

Each school will play its two primary partners home and road each season. Of each team’s nine rotating partners, a team will play three on a home and road basis, three at home and three on the road.

After the third year of the 12-team schedule, each of the primary partners will have played each other six times. In addition, a team will have played each of their rotating partners four times.
