Oct. 10, 2002

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami football team (5-0) got back on the Greentree Practice Field Wednesday afternoon to prepare for a Saturday clash with in-state rival Florida State at the Orange Bowl.

The team practiced for two hours in pads and shorts in hot weather. The workout focused on the game plan for Saturday’s game as the team, ending with a long session of team scrimmaging. Coach Larry Coker said that it was a very physical and demanding practice.

“We pushed them pretty good today, this was a great Wednesday for us,” Coker said. “Guys are tired, but they should be tired. We’ve got to get them rested for Saturday and make sure that we’re full speed and that we’re ready to go.”
